At Robe we want to build something special. Something that is bigger than just what we make (although we think what we make is pretty special!). Something that is bigger than just making profits. Something we can all feel proud of - and that's not just empowering women to feel confident and sexy when they are by the water (although that is pretty cool too).

We want to build a business that serves the community within which it operates. So in February 2019, we created Robe - Humanity. Don't get us wrong - we have supported and donated to plenty of charities and initiatives since we launched in March 2018 but this is a formal commitment to champion one cause every month to help effect positive change and give help where it is needed.

At Robe, we are committed to creating a positive change in the world. We believe we have a responsibility to use our platform to empower people to forge forward and effect positive change and to support local charities and other initiatives.

If you would like the support of Robe Humanity for an initiative or charity event, please get in touch with Isobel at isobel@getrobed.com.au.

February 2019

Queensland Flood Appeal

Bec lived in Townsville for a year when she first moved to Australia, so North Queensland holds a very special place in her heart. For all sales during the month of February, 100% of the profits have been donated to the North Queensland Floods Appeal.

Additionally, Robe is proud to be donating a prize to Style Magazine's Tipsy for Townsville event which will raise further funds for flood relief.

International Women's Day Soirée

Robe was proud to again co-host the International Women's Day Soirée alongside  Une Piece and a number of other amazing female founders. All proceeds from the evening go to the UN Women National Committee Australia and The Butterfly Foundation.

Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation

The Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation raises funds for important medical research into paralysis caused by spinal injuries. For the Foundation’s annual 'Everything Is Possible" gala dinner on 23 March 2019 at The Star, Gold Coast, Robe donated a piece from our collection to be auctioned off to raise funds.

Mothers of Boys Muster 2019

Mothers of Boys (MOB) is an Australian charity that was formed by a group of women who were in an otherwise all-male household and wanted to make a difference in their community. MOB not only encourages conversations about topical issues and the challenges of raising boys, but they are raising much-needed funds in 2019 for Rural Aid to help farmers and their families who have been affected by flood, drought, fire and other hardships. In May, Robe is proud to sponsor MOB by donating a piece from our collection for the Muster raffle.

August 2019

SISTER2Sister Crystal Ball

Robe again supported the SISTER2Sister Crystal Ball in 2019, held on August 3. By donating two of our gorgeous pieces, Robe helped to raise funds that will go towards the charity's meaningful work. SISTER2Sister helps young girls who are at risk or underprivileged by facilitating a meaningful relationship with a Big Sister mentor, resulting in a lasting, positive impact on the wider community. SISTER2Sister provides life-changing experiences for young women, and we're proud to have supported this amazing initiative two years in a row.

September 2019

Bubbles and Beauties by Suited to Success

Suited to Success, the Brisbane outpost of Dress for Success, held their major fundraising event Bubbles and Beauties in September 2019. Suited to Success helps people overcome barriers to employment through a variety of services at their Fortitude Valley location, with their flagship program being the men's and women's styling boutique where clients are provided with an interview-appropriate outfit. Robe donated a piece from our collection for the event's silent auction to help raise much-needed funds.

The Long Lunch by Food For Thought - Brisbane

Held annually, The Long Lunch is an event organised entirely by Brisbane volunteers to raise funds for various local charities. In 2019, the charity was TRACTION - an initiative that empowers young people in need by helping them engage positively with their communities, discover their talents and shape their own future. The Long Lunch was held at The Calile Hotel and Robe supported this wonderful initiative by sponsoring a raffle prize.

October 2019

Brisbane Grammar P&F Auxiliary Spring Luncheon

Robe donated a piece from our collection to be raffled off in Brisbane Grammar's Spring Luncheon, contributing to over $25,000 raised for an educational bursary for a student in financial need. The gift of education is incredibly powerful, and this bursary will be life-changing to the awarded student.

January 2020

Koala Adoption - Port Macquarie Koala Hospital

In the midst of Australia's devastating bushfires throughout late 2019 and early 2020, we saw over half a billion native animals lose their habitats and sadly perish. Robe's founder Bec adopted a wild koala from the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, providing vital funds towards its rescue, treatment, and eventual release back into the wild (if possible).

March 2020

International Women's Day Soirée 2020

Robe celebrated #IWD2020 again alongside Carly Brown from Une Piece and other Brisbane-based female founders at a chic soirée hosted at Hanworth House. With proceeds going towards Call Time on Melanoma and The Butterfly Foundation, it was a gorgeous evening spent acknowledging women's achievements and increasing visibility.
