Inspired by summer in Europe but grounded in our Queensland heritage, Robe has captured the attention of media both locally and nationally. Robe has graced the pages (and screens!) of publications such as The Daily Telegraph and Brisbane News, and are always excited to be introduced to new audiences.
Our luxury resort wear has become a favourite of stylists, and we’re always happy to loan pieces from our collection for editorial features or other shoots. The story behind the brand also serves as an inspiration for many, with audiences interested in Bec’s entrepreneurial journey from corporate lawyer to Australian resort wear designer.
Robe’s founder Bec is readily available for interviews and comment. Please send all press enquiries or questions to rebecca@getrobed.com.au.

"The name of this label might conjure up images of dressing gowns but instead this local brand was named after the true meaning of the word: a long, loose outer garment. “As this essentially describes our pieces, it was a clear winner for me,” says founder Rebecca Kroon, who started the brand in 2018. She adds: “Everything I design is with my original objective in mind – it must be suitable to wear over swimwear and/or by the water. While some of our pieces can be worn every day (a response to market demand), we have not deviated from our primary objective. All of our pieces are as unstructured as possible from a design perspective. We don’t do frills, we don’t do layers, we don’t do zips."
Summer Styling
February 10, 2020
"This Summer Laura Churchill, Director of Brisbane Fashion Month and West Village's fashion ambassador, guides us through the essentials for the warmer months. West Village is proud to be an ongoing sponsor and host of Brisbane Fashion Month. Summer is about feeling a sense of lightness and ease. In the wardrobe, I'm looking for no-fuss solutions to any style situation - a dress to style up or down, mix-and-match separates for casual days, a great swimsuit and playful accessories that inject personality into any look."

"Look of the week: Nadia Fairfax. Where: SailGP event in Sydney. What look were you going for? I was out on the harbour watching the SailGP so I've opted for a "boat chic with a twist" look. What's the key to creating a minimalist look? I like to create art when I get dressed so you won't typically see me in a head-to-toe minimalist look. Splash colour and textures all over your canvas. You'll have a better day, I promise!"
Q&A: Rebecca Kroon
August 22, 2019
"We spoke to designer and founder of Robe, Rebecca Kroon, about all things fashion. What has been a highlight of your Robe fashion journey? I was fortunate enough this year to be able to expand the Robe team. I now have two women working part time on the brand strategy, marketing and PR aspects of the business. We are a brand for women by women and we work from within the brand itself to empower women – it’s been very exciting. To be able to grow a team and work with such amazing women has been a true highlight."
